Motorcycle Rider Killed On PCH In Newport Beach

A motorcyclist was killed following a crash in Newport Beach, prompting an investigation into the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.

The crash occurred shortly before 6 p.m. near the intersection of Jamboree Road and San Joaquin Hills Road. Newport Beach police officers and firefighters responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and arrived to find the rider suffering from critical injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts at the scene, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.

Authorities said the collision involved a motorcycle and at least one other vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police have not released the identity of the motorcyclist pending notification of family members.
